Plopstar privacy policy
Last updated 2 October 2026.
Plopstar doesn't collect any information about you or your child. Nothing your child does in the app leaves the device.
What we collect
Nothing. The app doesn't ask for names or email addresses, and it doesn't read location, photos, the microphone or any device identifiers. We don't run a server for it, so there's nowhere for data to go.
What stays on the device
Game progress, settings (sound, voice, silly noises), the pictures your child finishes and the golden poos they earn are saved on the device itself, inside the app. Deleting the app deletes them. You can also clear progress from the grown-ups area.
Purchases
The one-off unlock is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). They process the payment under their own privacy policies. The app is only told whether the unlock has been bought. We never see your name, card or account details.
Third parties
There's no advertising or analytics code in the app. The only code we didn't write is the platform's own purchase system: StoreKit on iPhone and iPad, and the Google Play Billing Library on Android. Google's billing library may send its own diagnostic information to Google, as covered by Google's privacy policy.
Children
Plopstar is made for children aged 3 to 7. We don't hold any personal information, so there's nothing for you to request, correct or delete. Purchases, links and settings sit behind a parental gate that asks a grown-up to answer a sum written in words. We built it to follow the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Apple's Kids Category rules and Google Play's Families policy.
Changes
If anything here changes we'll update this page and the date at the top. We'd tell you before collecting anything.
